Last year Sarah Walton, a local Mum, from Preston, Lancs, won the runner up prize in the prestigious Remote Worker Awards Ceremony and was offered the opportunity of running her own home based business.
Sarah’s background as a teacher, both in English and Drama for the last 15 years, has been a invaluable asset. Nigel Le Page, Director of the most popular after-school drama programme in the world, could not turn her away and so made the extremely generous decision to help Sarah start up her own Helen O’Grady Franchise.
Nigel was particularly interested in Sarah as he felt that with young children of her own, operating a business from home is a perfect solution as well as enabling her to spend valuable time with her family as they grow up.
With this week’s announcement of the 2010 Remote Worker Awards, in association with BT Business, now open, Sarah said: “I feel so privileged that this offer came at the right time in my life. I have been able to do what I love and enjoy working under the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy network. It was a life changing moment for me."
Award winning website, Remote Employment, Google’s No 1 job site for flexible and home based jobs, launched The Remote Worker Awards in association with BT Business to honour champions of home working and remote working.
